A beautiful pipe tomahawk, hand-forged and carved. This presentation pipe tomahawk is completely hand forged and shaped from carbon steel. The round, spiral-cut pipe bowl has filed bands and a rolled rim. The teardrop eye is heavy, with hand-filed molding. The blade has a scalloped bit and raised fuller. Traditional vine decorates the spine and is finished with a plum brown patina.
The haft is curly maple, treated with aqua fortis and stained dark, with five carved raised rings. The lower haft is swelled and bracketed with carved wedding bands. The mouthpiece and cleanout are turned from horn with a deep amber color.
The blade is a 7” long overall and 2” wide across the edge. The hawk is 21” long from mouthpiece to plug, the maple haft is 19’’ long.
