Knife disguised as common fan (see detail views at left). Concealed blued 5½'' Kozuka blade in carved "fan" sheath.

The grip and sheath are cut from a single piece of tulipwood.

Sterling silver ladybugs adorn each side panel, with ivory "rivets" and sheath mouth. Side panels and grip are stained natural, while the fan portion is stained red to simulate the fabric, and painted with interrupted caligraphy characters to further enhance the effect.

Overall dimensions are 1'' to 1½'' wide x11½'' long.
