Magua's Bear-Head Knife 'The Last of the Mohicans'
|
|
This knife is based on movie stills and photos of the prop weapon carried by the character Hawkeye in the 1992 film 'Last of the Mohicans'.
The slightly-curved 7" by 1-1/8" blade is forged of carbon steel, ground to shape and finished with a dark aged patina. The grip is deer legbone wrapped with rawhide lace.
The sheath face is soft buckskin, sewn to a hard rawhide back, trimmed with beads and tin-cone dangles of red horse hair. The sheath is styled as a neck knife, but Hawkeye carried it in his belt.
Overall length of the knife is 12".
