A slender and elegant banded Southern style horn. The honey and tan body has three heat-applied turned black horn rings secured with brass nails. The horn has a slight double twist for left-hand carry. The high-domed “beehive” dark maple base has four turned rings, a turned strap knob and a hollowed interior to increase powder capacity. A brass tack finishes the dome. The spout and plug are turned curly maple and the spout unscrews for filling.

The horn body is 10" along the back curve, the spout is 3.5”, and overall length from base finial to spout plug is 16". The base is 2.25” in diameter.

The cotton strap is hand-decorated and antiqued, with brass D-rings and wooden beads. The strap is secured to horn with leather thongs.
