A very pretty,
almost wood-grained horn with a double twist
for left-hand carry. The honey-orange body is
carved with seven flat panels that follow the
twist of the horn. The spout is hand-carved,
and the plug is of black horn. The domed maple
base has seven turned rings and is hollowed for
extra capacity. A brass strap ring is secured
with green leather thongs that are shrunk to
the body and impregnated with beeswax.
The strap
is cotton dyed green, with leather attachment
thongs.
The horn body
is 10” along the
back curve and overall length from base to
spout plug is 12.5”. The base is 2.5” in
diameter.
