A very fancy presentation war club carved from a solid tiger maple stock blank. The curl runs the full length of the weapon. The grip is formed with a hexagonal cross-section and terminates in a carved acorn, and is wrapped in deerskin lace. Bone, glass and wood beads adorn the tassels. The diamond-sectioned club end features flutes, scrolls and chip-carving, and is decorated with brass tacks and nails. A browned iron dag blade is secured and pinned through the stock. A sterling silver-mounted horsehair scalplock and feather adorn the drop. The stock is treated with Aqua Fortis, heated, and then finished with several coats of hand-rubbed tung oil to bring out the beauty of the curl.
The iron blade is 6" long by 1.5" wide. The club is 36" long, 7" wide by 2” thick at the "butt".
