This
gunstock war club is carved from a solid curly
maple stock blank. The faceted stock forms a
hexagonal cross-section. The grip is wrapped
in buckskin leather with green trim, and stitched
with wax thread. The flats are engraved in a
floral scroll pattern, and brass tacks and nails
finish the lines. Wood beads, a feather and a
horsehair scalp lock adorn the ends. The stock
is oiled-finished.
The dag-shaped steel blade
is 7.5" long
by 2" wide. The club is 35" long, 6" wide
at the "butt", and 2" thick at
the butt.
