A delicate little jewel of a bison powder horn, perfect for a boxed pistol, or a day bag. The small horn has a  natural rippled texture at the base, separated from the body by a heat-applied turned ring which is fixed with copper rivets. A heat-colored copper band is secured to the horn spout and reinforces the attachment of a turned red-dyed buckeye burl spout, using four copper rivets as well. The spout plug is turned bison horn tip.

The domed base plug is turned from pine, wire-brushed to provide a rippled finish similar to the base of the horn, and dyed red. A twisted copper wire is inlet around the circumference of the base plug, and is finished with and old coat button. The base plug is secured with eight copper rivets.

The horn body is only 8” along the back curve and overall length from base to spout plug is 10.5”. The base is 2.25” in diameter.
