Bison Powder Horn with Base Band

A medium-sized bison powder horn with a simple carved spout and tacked base plug, perfect for a large bore plains rifle.
The body is polished smooth with a carved double ring strap holder and a ringed tip. An elegant turned cow horn spout plug has a small brass retaining ring. A bison band is heat-applied to the base of the horn, pierced with twenty-two large brass tacks securing the base plug.
The turned hickory base plug has rings around the edge and a brass strap eye.
The horn is 12” along the back curve from strap eye to spout plug. The base is 3.5” in diameter.
