Sold: $870
This war club is based on movie stills and photos of the prop weapon carried by the character Chingachgook in the 1992 film 'The Last of the Mohicans'. Probably the most recognizable weapon in the film, and used in several of the battle scenes, including the climactic final fight with Magua.
The large club is hand-carved from straight-grained maple, finished with Federal Blue milk paint, polished smooth and given a bit of wear. A circular arrangement of seventeen brass tacks is applied on each side to match the original.
The broad trade spear-point blade is formed from weathered ¼” steel, forged, pierced and patinated.
The club is 36” long and 5” wide at the butt. The blade is 4.5” long and 2.5” wide at the base.
