A heavy yet graceful clip-point Bowie, ground from 50100 steel and clay-hardened to produce a bold hamon. The blade was hand ground from 5/16" bar, draw-filed, rubbed to 1000 grit, clay-hardened and gently acid-etched to reveal the hamon. The clip point has a long false edge.

The hidden tang is deeply set into an elk crown-antler grip. The antler is well-aged, deeply-textured with a beautiful golden patina. The 1/8" thick forged Damascus double guard is decorated with a file pattern and acid-etched.

The beautiful heavy-weight vegetable-tanned leather sheath is hand-textured, cross-stitched with sinew around the entire edge and lined with red and white beads. The top of the sheath is covered in a buckskin fringed "frog", with a hand-loomed glass-beaded panel stitched to the face. The beaded panel ends in beaded fringes, which alternate with hanging red deer-hair tin cones. A long blonde horsehair cone hangs from the tip of the sheath.

The heavy blade is 10.5 ” long, 5/16” thick, and 1.5” wide. The antler grip is 6” long. Overall length of the knife is 17".
