A beautiful presentation-grade pipe tomahawk, hand-forged from a carbon steel ball-pein hammer. The whole head is forged to rough shape and then files are used to 'carve' the head into its final form. The goblet pipe bowl has a simple ringed rim. The eye is heavy, with a single vertical fuller. The lower edge of the blade has an elegant scalloped beard. The edge has been heat-treated and tempered.

The haft is premium curly maple, prepared with aqua fortis and lightly stained. Toward the mouthpiece the haft transitions into a lathe-turned ringed cylinder, which is dyed black. The upper and lower portions of the grip are carved with hexagonal planes. The main grip has four` cast-in pewter bands with a filed detail, with a scalloped pewter band beneath the head. The mouthpiece is a turned section of deer antler.

The clean-out plug is also turned from a solid deer antler tip. The clean-out plug has a steel cleaning pick.

The presentation tomahawk measures 20" from mouthpiece to clean-out plug, and the head is 7" long, with a 2.5” edge.
