Magua's Tomahawk For Sale

Sold:  $575

This unusual triangle-bladed, long-hafted tomahawk (similar to a Missouri River War Axe) is based on movie stills and photos of the prop weapon carried by the character Magua in the 1992 movie 'Last of the Mohicans'.

The heavy tool steel spiked blade is hand-forged to shape and pierced with a rectangle cutout like the original, and finished in a dark aged patina. The hardened and sharpened edge is 2.5” long, and the overall length is 7”. The blade is 1/4” thick at the round eye.

The long 22” hard maple handle is stained dark and finished with hand-rubbed Tung oil. The haft is turned and scraped and provides a firm grip.

This is a brutal-looking weapon, and matches perfectly the character who wielded it.
