A nice medium-sized spiked tomahawk with a beautifully figured curly maple handle. The wide scalloped blade is hand-forged from carbon tool steel and filed to shape. The blade transitions smoothly into the teardrop eye. The sturdy curved tapered spike has a square section and an octagonal neck. A deep groove is filed into the base of the spike. Spike and edge are hardened, and the head is patinaed.
The haft is curly maple with a very dense figure and a tapered grip. The haft is stained light with a hand-rubbed oil finish.
The head is 7.5" long, with a 2.25" edge. The spike is 2.5" long. The haft is 17.5" long.
