Bison Powder Horn With Turtle Fetish

A very large bison powder horn, perfect for a large bore plains rifle.
The large body is polished smooth with a ring separating the body from the spout, carved with six flats and a ring strap holder. The tip is also formed into hexagonal flats. The spout plug is turned from the removed point of the horn.
The pine base plug is carved with a turtle fetish and inlaid with artificial bone accents. Copper chain links are inset into the turtle's mouth to carry the strap. The base is secured with six large copper tacks.
The horn is 17” along the back curve from finial to spout plug. The base is 3.5” in diameter.
