This knife was made with a blade purchased from the Russian company FENiX-Knife.com [info@fenix-knife.com]. I was impressed with their Damascus blade blanks, and bought one just to see if the quality was there. It was!

The blade is beautifully patterned, thick and well ground, and it took a wicked edge. The blade rests on a thick, heat-colored oval copper spacer with filed rope pattern edge. The guard is formed from patterned Damascus as well. The grip is lathe-turned and hand-carved from Resin-Ivory, a beautifully grained and realistic faux ivory product. A copper ferrule separates the guard from the grip.

The sheath is hand carved and stitched heavy vegetable-tanned leather. The main body is dyed black. The frog is dyed red, with an inlaid hand-beaded inset with black, gold and red Mizuki tubular beads.

The overall length of the knife is 9.5", and the blade is 5.5" long and 1 3/16" wide at the guard.
