Forged Llama Head Door Knocker (Commissioned)

Gift

A cute Llama’s Head Door Knocker, hand-forged from a small recycled claw hammer. The claws were formed into ears, and the head was hammered and filed to shape. The hook was forge-tapered and scrolled. An ironwood cabochon is set into the top of the original handle eye.

The shield is cut from 1/8” steel plate. The steel pieces were heat-patinaed a dark blue with bronze highlights, and finished with oil.

The knocker is 7 1/8’’ x 2’’ and provided with 2 mounting holes.
