The client is a musician who does 18th century re-enactments, and he provided the quote.

The flask section is cut from the back of a large horn and heat-formed to elliptical plugs cut from recycled oak flooring. Twisted iron strap staples are set into the plugs. The interior is sealed with beeswax. The nearly transparent body (the fluid level  inside is easily detected) is scrimshawed and patinaed. Large brass tacks secure the plugs. And of course, the stopper is made from a fiddle peg.

The horn is 4’ long and the large end is 3” high and 2.25” wide. » read customer feedback
