Forged Clay-Clay-Hardened RR Spike Knife
|
|
Sold: $325
A truly bad-ass composite-construction Railroad Spike Fighter/Skinner knife and sheath.
A well-aged RR spike was grooved full length and a hand-forged W2 blade and tang were shaped to fit. The blade was welded into the spike, and the area was retextured to match the surrounding metal. A copper river was added as well.
The blade is clay-hardened and filework decorates the spine and thumb rest. The drop-point tip has a 3" sharpened false edge.
The pouch sheath is heavy-weight vegetable-tanned leather with carving on the front and an apple branch carved on the belt loop. The sheath is dyed black, and holds the knife securely.
The knife is 12.25" long overall. The blade is 6.5" long, 1.5" wide and 1/8" thick.
