Forged Plains Bowie Knife

Sold$250

A classic forged Bowie knife with a straight deer antler grip. The spring steel blade is hand-forged into a traditional Bowie profile with a false edge along the upper third of the spine and given an aged patina. A patinaed steel oval guard is soldered to the hidden tang. The antler grip is pinned to through the tang.

A hard rawhide sheath sewn with sinew and decorated with tin cones, beads and dyed horse hair provides the finishing touch. The sheath has an antler retaining toggle to keep it secured in a belt or sash.

The knife is 11.25 “ overall, with a 6” blade. 3/16” thick at the bolster.
