Ball-headed war clubs were used by the Eastern and Plains Indians during the 16th through 19th centuries, similar to the gunstock war club. Made from the root ball of a hardwood tree, these clubs were durable and efficient weapons.

This unique club is hand-carved from a single piece of beautifully-grained local mesquite root, oiled to a soft glowing natural finish. The kicked-back club is carved in a diamond section along the root profile, allowing the darker heartwood to be centered around the axis the entire length. The massive burl ball end is 4” in diameter, finished with a 2.5” long forged steel blade. The club is 20" long.
