Oak Banded Screw-Tip Powder Horn For Sale

A slim and elegant powder horn with a nice twist for left-hand carry, and a turned oak screw-tip spout and base.
The screw-tipped spout is hand-threaded and fits tightly. The spout base is secured to the horn with steel pins and glue, and the spout plug is a pierced ebony fiddle peg. The body is patinated a rich honey color, and a wide turned horn band is heat-formed to the base. The base plug is turned oak, secured through the horn band with small steel tacks. An iron ring and eye are placed in the base to secure a strap.
The horn is 17.5" long and 2.5" in diameter at the base.
