Partially Translucent Banded Powder Horn

Sold: $200

A slim and elegant, partially translucent banded powder horn. Two turned, dyed horn bands trisect the body, while a third turned, carved and dyed band secures the base. Brass pins and tacks secure the heat-applied bands.

The slender spout is turned horn, dyed brown, with a fiddle-peg plug. An iron staple is attached for a strap.

The base plug is turned mesquite with an integral strap button, stained dark and tipped with a brass tack.

The horn is 14” long and 2.5” in diameter.
