A very handsome smokable presentation French and Indian War (F&I) pipe tomahawk with cast pewter inlay.

The elegant pipe tomahawk blade is filed to shape with decorative firework on the blade spine. The hefty barrel-shaped pipe bowl has a banded rim and base sitting on a filed octagonal neck, resting on a shield chevron. The bowl was made separately,is hand-textured, pressure-fitted and soldered to the neck. The blade molding is filed in high relief. The bottom of the blade has a deep arc and beard with a sharpened bit. The blade has a satin polish and is patinated.

The cap has a turned detail and a turned antler clean-out plug with wire attachment. The figured curly maple haft has five file-detailed cast in pewter rings and chevron-and-ball design beneath the blade. The haft terminates with a turned section and antler stem. The wood is treated with aqua fortis and finished with several coats of hand-rubbed oil.

The blade is 7" long with a 2.5" edge, and the overall length is 20.5".
