Presentation F&I Pipe Tomahawk for Sale (Based on 'The Patriot')
Movie Prop Examples

I have been trying to make a decent rendition of this tomahawk for years. I studied the video frame by frame and compared all the internet copies and the castings from the prop. Concluded that, even within the movie, the prop tomahawks in different scenes don't match each other (those diamonds run vertical AND horizontal, depending on the prop). Finally used the one in the opening scene credits (placing the tomahawk into a trunk) and the movie poster, because they mostly match.

This sturdy pipe tomahawk blade is hand-filed to shape. The blade is hand-engraved with the "Capt. B M" inscription on the left face of the blade. The two diamond rivets were filed separately and pinned and soldered into place. The hefty hexagonal pipe bowl has a double ringed rim and a single ring base sitting on a filed hexagonal neck, resting on a round chevron. The bowl was made separately and pressure-fitted and soldered to the chevron. The rounded blade molding is filed in high relief to match the movie weapon. The bottom of the blade has a deep arc and beard with a sharpened bit. The blade has a satin polish and is patinated.

The cap has a hand-filed steel clean-out plug. The figured curly maple haft has incised social-work (mirrored on each side) to match the originals, and an inlaid silver 'snake' pattern beneath the social-work. The haft terminates with a simple curve and no mouthpiece. The wood is treated with aqua fortis and finished with several coats of hand-rubbed oil.

The blade is 8" long with a 2.75" edge, and the overall length is 19.5".
